Dhaka, February 2: The eleventh and first session of the 2021 National Assembly ended on Tuesday. Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury read out the President's announcement regarding the end of the session.

As per the constitution, the President addressed the first day of the session on January 18, the first session of the year.

The next day, on January 19, Chief Whip Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury moved a motion of thanks for the President's speech, which was supported by the Vice-Chairman of the ruling party, Md Abdus Shahid. After that, a discussion was held on the last 11 working day speeches.

A total of 6 bills have been passed in 12 working days of this session. In addition to the legislative functions, 46 notices under 71 rules of procedure were found in this session. A total of 84 questions were found for the Prime Minister to answer in this session. She answered 28 questions.

A total of 1,689 questions were available for the ministers of different ministries to answer. They answered about 820 questions.

In her concluding address, the Speaker said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh will become a middle income country by 2021 and a prosperous country by 2041. "Our main goal is to establish the golden Bengal the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman dreamt of by making Bangladesh a hunger and poverty free country and removing inequality.

He said that he was impressed by the tolerant behavior and constructive discussions of the members of parliament in the legislative process and other parliamentary activities.

He thanked Leader of the Opposition Raushan Ershad for his cooperation in running the parliament. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Deputy Leader of Parliament, Members of the Cabinet, Chief Whips and Whips and all the Members of Parliament.

He also called on the Deputy Speaker and members of the Presidium, officials and employees of the Parliament Secretariat, employees of various ministries, departments and offices of the government, journalists, officials and employees of all media including national dailies, various news agencies, Bangladesh Betar, Sangsad Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Television and private TV channels.
