EU wants to know the name of the opposition party in the Parliament

Obaidul Quader, the party's general secretary, said this at a briefing organized at the Dhaka District Awami League office in Tejgaon of the capital on Tuesday afternoon. Earlier, a delegation led by the general secretary of Awami League held a meeting with the European Union delegation at the same office at around 4 pm.

Obaidul Quader said that the representatives of the European Union wanted to know about the independent candidates in the elections. They said, "Are only Awami League people independent candidates? We gave our answer. They heard it. They were more interested in listening than speaking."

Awami League Information and Research Affairs Secretary Dr. Salim Mahmud, Deputy Secretary Sayem Khan, Executive Member Prof. Mohammad A. Arafat and others were present in the meeting.
