Five women are receiving the 'Bangamata Fazilatun Necha Mujib Padak-'22

Dhaka, 7 August 2022 : Five distinguished women are being awarded the 'Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Necha Mujib Padak-'22 this year.

In order to commemorate the contribution of Bangmata, the highest national medal 'Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesha Mujib' is awarded in category 'A' in recognition of the contribution of women in eight fields every year.

This year, in recognition of important contributions in the fields of politics, economy, education, social service and freedom and liberation war, the five distinguished women who are getting the 'Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Necha Mujib Padak-2022' are Syeda Zebunnecha Haque of Sylhet district, Selima of Comilla district in economics. Ahmad MP, former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof. Nasreen Ahmad in the field of education, Mocha of Kishoreganj district in the field of social service. Achiya Alam and Ashalta Vaidya (wartime commander) a brave freedom fighter of Gopalganj district in the field of freedom and liberation war.

State Minister for Women and Child Affairs Fazilatun Nessa Indira said this at a press conference at Shishu Academy Auditorium in the capital on Saturday.
