Messi Foreign Minister of Argentina will come to Dhaka with Messi
Dhaka, December 24: Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen said that Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero will come to Dhaka next March. Then there will be a discussion about opening the embassy of Argentina in Dhaka. He said, "I told him (Argentina's foreign minister) to bring Lionel Messi with him."
The Foreign Minister was present as the chief guest at the unveiling ceremony of four books written by Dr. Abdullah Shibli at the Policy Research Institute (PRI) auditorium in Banani, capital on Thursday (December 22). The foreign minister said this while talking to journalists after the event.
Dr. Momen said, in the past there has been mango diplomacy, sweet diplomacy. And this time sports diplomacy. The people of Bangladesh have greatly supported Brazil and Argentina this time. This is why sports diplomacy has progressed.
He said, Argentina is our old friend. We also worked together at the United Nations. They have helped us at various times. The relationship between our two countries will be better in the coming days.
Earlier on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen congratulated Argentina's Foreign Minister Santiago Andres Cafiero and the people of the Republic of Argentina on winning the FIFA World Cup 2022 on behalf of the people of Bangladesh and himself.
Foreign Minister Dr. Momen said in a letter sent congratulating the Foreign Minister of Argentina, you will be overwhelmed to see the spontaneous joy that the people of Bangladesh did last night after the victory of the Argentina team in the FIFA World Cup.
Dr. Momen said, I believe, despite our geographical distance, the hearts of people of Bangladesh and Argentina are united in harmony because of their love for football.
