Dhaka, 5 February 2023 : Foreign tourists visited Bagerhat's historical six-domed mosque, museum and shrine of Khan Jahan Ali. On Saturday, 27 switchers and a German tourist arrived at the Six Dome Mosque from Mongla around 4 pm.

At that time Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Azizur Rahman and senior administration officials were present there.

Earlier in the afternoon, the luxury cruise ship MV Ganga Vilas, which left from Benares, India with foreign tourists, anchored at Jetty No. 7 of Mongla port.

The guests were welcomed by Mongla Port. After reception, formalities and lunch at Mongla Port, left for Six Dome Mosque by road.

After reaching Shatgambuj in the afternoon, Imam and Khatib of Shatgambuj Masjid Maulana Helal Uddin showed the guests around Bagerhat Museum and Shatgambuj Mosque.

He explained to the guests about the history of Satgambuj and Bagerhat in English language. The guests also inquired about these ancient examples of Muslim architecture.

Tourists are amazed to know the unique architectural style and historical importance of the mosque. Besides, tourists visit the shrine of Khan Jahan Ali.
