Four Bangladeshi districts experiencing cold wave

Dhaka, 13 January 2024 : The temperature has dropped a little and the cold has started again in three districts of the country.

Although the temperature has not dropped much, due to the fog, the difference between the maximum and minimum temperature is reduced, and winter has settled all over the country.

The Meteorological Department has also said that there may be rain in different parts of the country next week. Before this, the first winter of the season started in three districts of the northern region on January 3. The cold wave lasted for three days.

According to the Meteorological Department, when the minimum temperature falls between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius over a wide area, it is called a mild cold front.

If the temperature is between 6 to 8 degrees it is called moderate and if the temperature is between 4 to 6 degrees it is called severe cold current. When the minimum temperature falls below 4 degrees Celsius, it is called a severe cold current.

On Friday morning, the lowest temperature in the country was 9.6 degrees Celsius in Nikli and Chuadanga of Kishoreganj. Besides, the minimum temperature was 9.8 degrees Celsius in Ishwardi and 10 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur.

On Thursday, the minimum temperature of the country was 10.3 degrees Celsius in Nikli. The minimum temperature of Dhaka has decreased from 14.2 degrees Celsius to 13.9 degrees Celsius on Friday.
