Hefazat Violence Four top Hefazat leaders arrested
Dhaka, April 12: RAB-11 has arrested four leaders of Hefazat-e-Islam, including the main accused in the case of vandalism at the Sonargaon Royal Resort in Narayanganj and obstruction on the highway.
The arrested are: Hifazat leader Maulana Iqbal (main accused), Maulana Mohiuddin, Maulana Shahjahan Shibli and Maulana Moazzem.
Monday (April 12) morning RAB-11 captain Lt. Colonel Khandaker Saiful Alam told Dhaka Post that a team of RAB-11 arrested four people, including Maulana Iqbal, the head of the case of vandalism at the Sonargaon Royal Resort and sabotage on the highway, from the Jurain area of the capital on Sunday (April 11th) evening.
The arrested are the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th accused in the case.
He said Maulana Iqbal and Maulana Mohiuddin were among the arrested. Four arrested persons have been handed over to Sonargaon police station.
