Emmanuel Macron French President coming to Dhaka on September 10
Dhaka, Sept 5: French President Emmanuel Macron will be visiting Bangladesh after the G-20 conference held in New Delhi, India.
The matter was confirmed in a Facebook post of the French Embassy in Dhaka on Monday (September 4). It is reported that French President Emmanuel Macron will go to Delhi, India on September 9 to attend the G-20 Summit. From there, he will come to Dhaka on September 10 on a bilateral visit.
During his stay in Dhaka, the French President will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Besides, he will pay tribute to Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at 32 Dhanmondi. He is scheduled to leave Dhaka on September 11.
Before this, the then French President Francois Mitterrand visited Bangladesh last in 1990. After that, no other president of the country came to Bangladesh. As a result, it is going to be the first visit of a French president to Bangladesh after 1990.
