Macron Dhaka Visit French President Macron pays tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait
Own correspondent, Dhaka, 11 September 2023: On the second day of his visit to Dhaka, French President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi number 32. Father of the Nation's younger daughter Sheikh Rehana and his son Radwan Mujib Siddique Bobby were present on the occasion.
Macron visited Dhanmondi 32 on the morning of September 11. He paid tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu replaced there. Later he visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and signed the visit book preserved in the museum.
French President Emmanuel Macron arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at eight o'clock on Sunday on a two-day visit after attending the G-20 summit in India. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed him at the airport. Meanwhile, Macron was given a red carpet reception. He reached Hotel Intercontinental via Dhaka Elevated Expressway from the airport.
At night, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the dinner organized in honor of the French President at the Intercontinental. Before the start of the dinner, there is a cultural performance. Later, Macron visited the home studio of Rahul Anand, artist and music director of the country's popular band group 'Joler Gaan'.
