Dhaka GM Quader and his wife took nomination papers for two seats in Dhaka
Dhaka, 26th November 2023 : Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader has collected nomination forms from Dhaka-17 and Rangpur-3 to participate in the 12th National Assembly Elections.
His wife Sherifa Quader has collected the nomination form from Dhaka-18 constituency.
She is the advisor to the Chairman of the National Party.
Although the Jatiya Party has informed the media about the collection of nomination forms from GM Quader's Rangpur-3 seat, the issue of the Dhaka seat has been kept somewhat secret.
Sherifa Quader told Dhaka Post that she has collected the nomination form from Dhaka-18 constituency to participate in the election.
And GM Quader has collected the nomination form from Rangpur-3 seat.
When asked whether GM Quader has collected the nomination form from Dhaka-17 seat or not, Sherifa Quader said that she has, but she will elect from Rangpur-3 seat.
According to a Japa source, former President Ershad's son Saad Ershad is currently a member of Parliament from Rangpur-3 seat. Saad Ershad wants to participate from Rangpur-3 in the next election as well.
But GM Kader wants to elect from this seat of Bhai. There is a conflict between Roshan Ershad and GM Quader.
If for some reason GM Quader cannot be elected from Rangpur-3 constituency, then he has collected nomination forms for multiple constituencies so that he can participate in the election from Dhaka-17 constituency.
