Dhaka, November 1: To prevent coronavirus, vaccination has been started for students between the ages of 12 and 17 in the country. The program was inaugurated at 9:30 am on Monday (November 1) at Motijheel Ideal School and College in the capital. Tahsan Hossain and Mahjabin Toma, two students of Ideal School and College, got the first coronavirus vaccine at the center. They are both ninth class students of the educational institution.

After the vaccination, Tahsan said, "I feel very lucky to be able to take part in the vaccination program. There was a little bit of fear in the beginning, but now it feels really good to think that I am the first student to get vaccinated. The fear of coronavirus was in me, now it will not be. As the first 12 to 17-year-old student to get coronavaccine in the country, I urge all my classmates to take part in the vaccination program."

After the vaccination, Mahjabin Toma said, "At first I was a little scared. But now there is no fear. On the contrary, I am happy to be vaccinated."

Tahsan's father Tofazzal Hossain said, "I am proud as a father. I was vaccinated at the age of 50. My child was vaccinated when he was only 15 years old. Thanks to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for this."

Calling on all students and parents to cooperate in the vaccination program, he said, “Many students are still afraid to come to school because of the coronavirus. I think now that the vaccination campaign has started, the students will not be scared."

Experimental vaccination of students first started in Manikganj district. Vaccination programs are being introduced in eight centers of the country from Monday as there are no side effects among the students.
