Ashrayan Project Happy to see people being cheerful after receiving house: Sheikh Hasina
Dhaka, April 26: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "When people smile when they get a house, my mind is filled with happiness. This is what the father of the nation wanted." She was speaking at the handover ceremony of the Asrayan-2 project house via video conference from the Prime Minister's official residence Ganobhaban on Tuesday (April 26).
Sheikh Hasina said people get everything when they get a house. Many evicted lands have been recovered through the shelter project. The Prime Minister thanked all those involved in the project for this. She said, "Today, before Eid, we are giving houses to 32,904 people in the third phase of the shelter project. I will say, this is Eid gift."
Sheikh Hasina said, "It is best to have a smile on the face of a person who has got a house. The father of the nation wanted to put a smile on the face of the sad people. I am working towards the goal that this Bangladesh can stand with its head high in the chest of the world. Our goal is to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh. The nation that liberates the country with blood cannot be left behind.
She said that when Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujib was building war-torn Bangladesh, many attempts were made to obstruct his path. "He was killed along with his family to stop the progress of Bangladesh. But we are taking the dream of the father of the nation Bangladesh forward with ashes in the face of murderous miscreants."
The head of government said, "I know that seeing this smile on the face of a sad person will bring peace to my father. You will pray, stand by the side of these sad people, put a smile on their faces. This is the greatest achievement in the life of a politician. Money will not be of any use. You have found proof in Corona. Wealth, wealth, money is nothing. Running after wealth does not mean disrespecting people. On the contrary, if you can stand by the side of people, it will be great."
"We do politics with ideals," she said. "Countries like Bangladesh, where there are many limitations, where many big countries can't even imagine, but we did. I am giving everything starting from corona vaccine. You don't just have to calculate the cost of buying a corona vaccine. The process of giving it has cost thousands of crores of rupees. We gave to the people for free. Many developed countries could not afford it. We will stand on our own two feet, not beg from anyone. We will continue to be a developed and prosperous nation in the world with self-respect."
