HSC exam started today, 12 lakh students appear

Dhaka, November 6, 2022: HSC and equivalent exams for the academic year 2022 are starting simultaneously across the country today, Sunday (November 6).

This year 12 lakh 3 thousand 407 candidates from 9 thousand 181 educational institutions will participate in 2 thousand 649 centers. Among them, 6 lakh 22 thousand 796 male students and 5 lakh 80 thousand 611 female students.

This year, out of 11 education boards, 9 lakh 85 thousand 713 candidates under 9 general education boards. Among them, 5 lakh 82 thousand 183 students and 5 lakh 3 thousand 530 female students. These students of total 2 thousand 678 educational institutions will participate in the examination in 1 thousand 528 centers. On the other hand, 94 thousand 763 candidates from 448 centers will participate in the Alim exam under Madrasa Education Board against 2 thousand 678 educational institutions. Among them 51 thousand 695 male students and 43 thousand 68 female students.

Besides, one lakh 22 thousand 931 candidates will participate in the HSC (BM/BMT), HSC (Vocational), Diploma-in-Commerce examination under the Board of Technical Education this year. Among them 88 thousand 918 male students and 34 thousand 13 female students. This year 673 centers against 1 thousand 856 educational institutions.

Education Minister Dipu Moni will visit the Government Begum Badrunnecha Mahila College center in the capital today. The matter was informed by the Ministry of Education on Saturday (November 5). As per the exam instructions this year, the candidates must enter the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam. No one else can use mobile phones or unauthorized electronic devices in the examination center except the officer-in-charge.

The question set code will be announced 25 minutes before the start of the exam. Strict legal action will be taken against the person/persons who spread rumors of question paper leak. If any institution, institution head, teacher acts illegally in public examination, legal action will be taken against that institution, institution head and teacher and if necessary, the examination center will be cancelled.
