He made the point in the opening speech of the discussion meeting organized by Awami League at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on the occasion of Martyrs Intellectual Day.

Obaidul Quader said, "US Ambassador Peter Haas went to Sajjadul Sumon's house early today on Intellectual Day. He went missing in 2013. He went to his house."

Regarding the allegations of disappearance of Hefazat leaders and activists, the general secretary of Awami League said, "It is said that Sheikh Hasina's government has disappeared and killed 67 people. Later, journalists investigated and found that most of them were studying in madrasas. They took pictures of them in that condition. Today these are the 67 people. Are they missing?"

He said, "I want to remind those who talk about missing, I will say Farhad Mazhar Sahib is missing. After a few hours, he was seen on the bus towards Khulna. He left by himself, is it missing? There are many such cases."

Obaidul Quader said, "Cases have been filed, murder cases, drug cases - now he has disappeared himself. BNP has many such workers. He is missing to escape the case. How many allegations are against Salahuddin of Chakaria. Salahuddin disappeared. He himself went to India. You should know about these disappearances, Mr. Peter Haas."
