Everyone, starting from the Prime Minister, wants a fair trial for Raihan's murder.

Describing SI Akbar as a shame for the police, the foreign minister said the police force was also ashamed because of one or two such culprits. No one from the police is trying to save him. A proper investigation is underway.

Earlier, the minister arrived at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on a surprise visit by US-Bangla Airlines from Dhaka at around 1.15pm on Tuesday. From there he went directly to the house of the slain Raihan in Akhalia area. The minister stayed there for some time to console Raihan's family.

On his way back from there, he visited the grave of veteran journalist Aziz Ahmad Selim, former president of the late Sylhet District Press Club, at the Dargah graveyard of Hazrat Shahjalal (ra). Later, the foreign minister left Sylhet Osmani International Airport for Dhaka at around 3 pm.
