Mymensingh Projects Inauguration and foundation stone laying of 103 development projects in Mymensingh
Dhaka, March 11: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 103 development projects on Saturday to ensure the overall development of Mymensingh Division.
In the afternoon, during a public meeting organized at the circuit house grounds, the Prime Minister inaugurated 73 development projects in Mymensingh division at a cost of Tk 570.07 crore and laid the foundation stone of another 30 projects at a cost of Tk 2762.27 crore.
On the occasion of the Prime Minister's arrival, the entire Mymensingh turned into a festive city. The entire city is decorated with portraits of Sheikh Hasina and colorful posters, banners and festoons.
Development projects include:-
Unveiling of the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman based on the photo adjacent to Mymensingh Central Shaheed Minar,
50 bedded Dr. Mushfiqur Rahman Shubo Memorial Islamic Mission Hospital,
Construction of an auditorium-cum-community center with 1000 seats for the Institute of Health Technology in Trishal Upazila.
Construction of dam to protect Charalgi Union of Gafargaon from Brahmaputra river erosion,
New Sadar Upazila Parishad Hospital,
Gorbakura-Kadaitli land port at Haluaghat,
Main Building of District Lawyers Association- Shaheed Advocate Nazrul Islam Bhaban and Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Women's College.
In addition, the development projects that laid foundation stones include:-
Construction of Deshratna Sheikh Hasina Hall, Sheikh Rehana Hall, Rozi Jamal Hall, Government Anand Mohan College with 500 beds 5-floor student hostel and electricity distribution system in Bangladesh Agricultural University.
Mymensingh has changed as a result of the implementation of comprehensive development projects with the sincere and relentless efforts of the Awami League government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In the last 14 years under his visionary leadership, the district has seen massive development in all fields including agriculture, education, health, infrastructure. In the past, no such development has taken place during the tenure of any government. The benefits of this development are now being enjoyed by the common people of Mymensingh.
