Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 22: On the occasion of National Children's Day, a court has sent back 70 children, who were involved in petty crimes, to their parents for correction.

The court staff handed over the Bangladeshi flag, flowers and diary to them as per the court order. On Monday, Sunamganj Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal and Children's Court Judge Md. Zakir Hossain gave this exceptional verdict.

In 50 cases filed at different times in Sunamganj, 70 children had to appear in court. As a result, the tenderness of these children falls into the normal growing uncertainty. Their education was about to be disrupted.

The court sent the children back to the custody of their parents instead of giving imprisonment, stipulating conditions for the children to grow up with beautiful and humane qualities. The accused children and their parents have become emotional over the verdict of the court.

The conditions imposed by the court include regular study as well as doing some good deeds and writing in diary every day, knowing the exact history of liberation war, maintaining good manners, obeying the directions of parents and elders and taking care of parents. Helping, reading scriptures regularly and performing religious rites, planting and caring for at least 20 trees each, giving up bad company, staying away from drugs, not engaging in any future crime.

Probation Officer Md. Shafiur Rahman will monitor whether these conditions are being complied with and will inform the court every three months.
