Dhaka, December 29: BMA leaders have strongly condemned the vandalism of the emergency department of Jamalpur Sheikh Hasina Medical College Hospital and the barbaric attacks on other staff including Dr. Md. Lutfar Rahman (UH&FPO, Sadar), Dr. Chiranjeev Sarkar (EMO) and Dr. Habibullah.

Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) President Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin and Secretary General Dr. Md. Ihteshamul Haque Chowdhury said in a written statement on Monday (December 28) that a group of miscreants had carried out a barbaric attack on a group of miscreants on December 25th.

The Central BMA is expressing solidarity with all the programs taken by the Jamalpur branch of the Bangladesh Medical Association in this regard.

BMA leaders immediately demanded the arrest of those involved in the terrorist attack and the withdrawal of the OC of Jamalpur Sadar Police Station for negligence in duty.

At the same time, BMA leaders urged the concerned administration to ensure safe workplaces of doctors, nurses and staff in charge of Jamalpur Sheikh Hasina Medical College Hospital and all hospitals and medical educational institutions in the country.
