Dhaka, March 26, 2023 : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's son Sajib Wazed Joy and her IT advisor Sajib Wazed Joy have demanded recognition of Operation Searchlight, the barbaric massacre of unarmed Bengalis by the Pakistani forces on the night of March 25, 1971.

He also brought forward the silent role of the international community in this regard. He claimed this in a status given on his verified page on social media Facebook on Saturday night.

Sajib Wazed Joy wrote in that post, Bengali people wanted freedom from the Pakistani military regime in 1971, their dream was to live a beautiful life like themselves.

But the Pakistani rulers pounced on the sleeping Bengalis on the dark night of March 25. Yahya Khan and his trusted butcher Tikka Khan were tasked with exterminating the Bengali nation. They named it 'Operation Searchlight'.

In this one night they killed more than seven thousand people in Dhaka city alone.

In the 9 months of the liberation war, 3 million people of Bangladesh were martyred, and more than 200,000 mothers and sisters lost their honor to Pakistani killers' - wrote Joy.

He also wrote that about 30 to 40 million people of the total population of Bangladesh were lost in those 9 months of the liberation war. About one crore people are refugees in India. But until today the international community refuses to recognize this genocide. Because then all the superpowers except the Soviet Union were in favor of the Pakistani killers.

Sajeeb Wazed Joy writes, So today we demand that the killings of Pakistani assassins be recognized as genocide. Our tribute to all the freedom fighters and heroic mothers who sacrificed their lives for independent Bangladesh.
