Quader Kader feels Bangladesh government can thwart any conspiracy: Quader
Dhaka, 14 January 2024 : General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has commented that the government has the power to thwart any domestic and foreign conspiracy and pressure.
He said, "There is domestic and foreign pressure. But we have the ability to overcome that pressure, we have the courage - Padma bridge and the modern metro rail in the capital are great examples of that. There will be five more metrorails, besides which two subways are in the works."
By 2030, the construction of six metro rails will be completed in Dhaka.
Obaidul Quader came to his office on the first day in the secretariat after receiving the responsibility of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges for the fourth time in the new cabinet and said these things in an exchange meeting organized with journalists.
General Secretary of Awami League said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has repeatedly said about domestic and foreign pressure. There is pressure from abroad as well as at home. But we have the power, the courage, the ability to overcome it.
He said, the source of our strength is the people of Bangladesh, our relationship is with the soil and the people. The party's relationship with the soil and the people - that party does not yield to any foreign pressure or domestic pressure.
Obaidul Quader said that there are challenges in all spheres of politics, economy and personal life.
He said, we have come a long way. Obstacles on the way, obstacles step by step - we have overcome that. We have passed the election situation. The election is over. Many people said that they cannot hold elections, but we have held elections. We have made our dreams come true.
