Kuwait PM holds telephone call with Sheikh Hasina expressing satisfaction over bilateral relations

Dhaka, July 6: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah expressed satisfaction over the bilateral relations, which are strengthening in depth and scope with time.

According to a press release of the Prime Minister's Press Wing, both leaders expressed this opinion during a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday afternoon. Greetings to the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Hasina and through her to the fraternal people of Bangladesh. The two leaders spoke on various aspects of bilateral cooperation and expressed satisfaction that the relationship between the two friendly countries is growing in depth and breadth over time.

Sheikh Hasina thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah for the telephone call and wished him and the fraternal people of Kuwait a happy Eid-ul-Azha. She happily noted that the Bangladeshis serving in Kuwait and the 'Bangladesh Contingent' in the Kuwaiti Army is a recognition of the legacy and strength of the longstanding partnership.

Prime Minister Al-Sabah noted with pleasure the dedicated and diligent role of the Bangladesh Army in rebuilding the defense of his country. He also praised the role of expatriate Bangladeshis in the development of the two countries.

Both leaders agreed to work together on the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) with mutual expectations at the next General Assembly meeting in early July 2023 in Bangkok.

The two leaders invited each other to visit their respective countries, stressing the need for regular consultations or high-level visits to enhance bilateral cooperation. The telephone conversation ended with the two leaders exchanging greetings, wishing each other good health and future prosperity for the people of the two countries.
