Man demands Hindu women's right to property

Dhaka, October 5: A person named Partha Sarthi Majumdar has demanded equal rights of women in the property of father and husband. He made this demand while standing in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday (October 4) with a placard reading 'No worship as goddess, I want property rights of Hindu women as women'. His little daughter was with him at the time.

Partha Sarthi said, "Women still do not get any share of their father's or husband's property in the Hindu law of the country. We only worship the goddess in Puja Parvana. But we do not give rights to the woman in whom the goddess came as a woman. Women do not get a share of the property. If the religion On the basis that Hindu women do not have the right to property, should they emigrate, or should they leave their religion? Feticide will increase, or sati-immolation will be introduced!"

He demanded, "Hindu women of the country do not get their property rights. My demand is to reform the Hindu law of Bangladesh and give women property rights."
