Kushtia Road Accident Man dies after being crushed under a truck in pond
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 22: A man named Nayan Mandal (45) was killed when a truck carrying bricks overturned in Kushtia.
The accident took place on Monday (February 21) at around 5 pm on the Ujangram-Gajanbipur village road under Islamic University Police Station limits. The deceased has been identified as Nayan Mandal, a resident of Kanaipara in Gajanbipur village. He was a fish trader by profession.
Ujangram Union Parishad (UP) chairman Sanwar Hossain Mollah said fish trader Nayan was returning home in a truck carrying bricks to make his house. Suddenly the truck lost its control and fell into a pond on the side of the road. He jumped into the water to save himself. But, the brick-laden truck overturned and fell on him. He died on the spot.
