Dhaka, November 4: Steps will be taken soon to make it mandatory for everyone to wear a face mask before Covid-19 vaccine arrives in the country. If people are not aware, if they do not follow the rules of hygiene, then it may cause fear again in the future.

Therefore, in order to stop the second wave of coronavirus in the country, there is no alternative but to follow the hygiene rules at the moment.

Especially wearing a face mask is very important at this time. That is why steps will be taken soon to make it mandatory for everyone to wear a face mask until the vaccine is introduced in the country.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque made the remarks while addressing an inter-ministerial meeting at the Health Ministry on Tuesday.

He said the second wave of corona has started in many European countries. Many countries have already declared a lockdown for the second or third time. Bangladesh is also worried about the second wave of Corona next winter. The health sector has the capacity to deal with the second wave.

Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister through online zoom Dr. Ahmed Kaikaus, Swachip President Prof. Dr. Iqbal Arsenal, Professor Shahidullah, President of the National Technical Committee, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and many others took part and shared their valuable views.

Speakers at the meeting praised the capacity of the country's health sector in Corona and emphasized on raising social awareness in a new way while retaining the previous capacity. He requested the concerned department to take initiative so that the winter social events would not be tied up.
