Dhaka, December 10: Awami League senior leader Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salim or Begum Matia Chowdhury, who is the deputy leader of the parliament? In this regard, a member of the cabinet said, Awami League senior leader Amir Hossain Amu may be made the deputy leader of parliament. However, Tofail Ahmad, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salim or Begum Matia Chowdhury are also in discussion. Everything depends on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's decision.

After the speech of the Prime Minister, it became clear now. After coming to power in 2009, Awami League first elected Zillur Rahman as the deputy leader of parliament. He was also in charge in 1996.

Later he was sworn in as President. Sajeda Chowdhury became the Deputy Leader of Parliament. She was the deputy leader of the Awami League for three consecutive terms. Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury died on September 11 after a long illness.

The post fell vacant on her death.
