Dhaka, October 6: The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested two people for leaking question papers of admission test in government medical and dental colleges. The CID says the gang leaked government medical and dental question papers in 2013 and 2015. The main mastermind of the cycle is Abdus Salam, a machine man from the Health Education Bureau. During the preliminary interrogation, Abdus Salam said that five or six dishonest doctors and three or four coaching centers were involved in the scam.

CID Special Superintendent of Police Ashraful Alam said this at a press conference at the headquarters in Malibagh on Tuesday (October 6).

He said Jasim Uddin and his associates Zakir Hossain Dipu and Parvez Khan were arrested in a raid in different areas of Mirpur on July 19.

Then (July 20) CID Cyber ​​Police filed a case with Mirpur Model Police Station. During the investigation, seven more people involved in the interrogation ring were arrested.

During the interrogation of the accused, the name of Abdus Salam, a machineman at the Health Education Bureau, came up.

Abdus Salam was arrested on Monday (October 5th) from the Banasree area of ​​the capital. His home is in Manikganj district. He was suspended in 2015 after a murder charge was filed against him.

Alam further said that Abdus Salam would remove the question paper very tactfully while the printing work would go on.

Later, his cousin Jasim Uddin, another mastermind, distributed question papers to the students who wanted to get admission in medical colleges, in exchange for money.

The CID official said Jasim had 38 bank accounts.

A check of Tk 2.30 crore, a savings certificate of Tk 2.27 crore and a check of Tk 84 lakh from his associate Parvez were recovered from him.

Besides, CID also found 14 bank accounts of Jasim's wife Shilpi.

He also has a deposit of Tk 3.18 crore in his bank.
