Militant snatching: Eight accused in jail after remand

Dhaka, December 22: The court ordered eight militants to be sent to jail after remand in the case of Jatrabari police station of the capital in the case of militant robbery. The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Shanto Islam Mallick gave this order on Tuesday (December 20).

The accused who went to jail are Khairul Islam alias Jamil, Mozammel Hossain alias Simon, Arafat Rahman alias Shams, Sheikh Abdullah alias Zubair, Sabur alias Saad, Omar Farooq, Mir Faridul Haque and Mohammad Hanif.

After the remand, eight accused were produced in the court. After that, the investigating officer CTTC sub-inspector Muhammad Musaddimul Haque applied to keep them in jail until the investigation of the case is over. In view of the petition, the court ordered to send them to jail. Earlier, the court remanded them for four days in the case of Jatrabari police station on December 15.

According to the source of the complaint, Zakir Hossain alias Ibrahim, who was previously arrested in this case, was remanded for two days on November 17.

On remand, he said, Ansar Al Islam mastermind Khairul Islam alias Jamil, Mozammel Hossain Simon, Arafat Rahman, Sheikh Abdullah, Abdus Sabur and other 20-25 members are carrying out the entire organizational activities. They conduct organizational activities from prisons through the use of secret apps. On November 20, members of the organization abducted the accused from the court premises.
