Dhaka, November 3: Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the Awami League and minister for road transport and bridges, feels the need to unravel the mystery of the jail killings in the interest of accurate history and to inform the new generation.

"A lot of the mystery of the prison killings has not been solved yet," he said. "We have to find this secret for the new generation."

Obaidul Quader told reporters after paying homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu with flowers at No. 32 in Dhanmondi on Tuesday on the occasion of Jail Killing Day.

The general secretary of the Awami League said, "August 15 and November 3 are the same thread and the continuation of the same conspiracy. These two scandalous killings have been organized to avenge the defeat of 1971. The defeated forces of '71 killed Bangabandhu to make the guardian void and to make the leadership void."

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said, "They wanted to nullify our leadership in the assassination of national leaders." From November 3 to November 6, many secrets of why General Khaled Musharraf, Colonel Huda, Colonel Haider and many other army officers and soldiers were killed in the name of sepoy people's revolution have not been revealed yet. In the interest of truth in history and to inform the next generation about everything, we need to find out."

After paying homage at the Banani cemetery, the Awami League general secretary said, "This is the oath on the martyrdom anniversary of four national leaders." The conspiracy of anti-independence communal evil forces in Bangladesh has not stopped yet. So today we will swear, under the leadership of our leader Sheikh Hasina, we will establish Bangabandhu's Golden Bengal by eradicating the communal evil power and the poisonous tree of communalism.

Obaidul Quader said in response to a statement made by BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam at the time, "Mirza Fakhrul Saheb has said that there is a lack of honest and competent leaders." I will say, look at yourself in the mirror, those who have institutionalized the politics of corruption in this country are the BNP. The world champion in corruption five times in a row. The politics of honesty does not suit the face of that BNP. '

He said, "Bangabandhu is an honest and worthy leader in the history of this country. After Bangabandhu, that is, after seventy-five, the most honest and worthy leader is Sheikh Hasina."
