Mystery of Tipu's murder to be revealed soon: Home Minister

The Home Minister made the remarks after paying homage at the Shaheed Memorial at Rajarbagh Police Lines in the capital on Saturday (March 26) morning.

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the investigation into Tipu's murder was ongoing.

"Who is behind this murder, who is the master of drama, everything will be brought before the people through the media," he said.

"Whoever is involved in this incident, no one will be spared," the minister said.

Asked if it was a political assassination, he said, "He did not want to comment on whether the killing was political. I hope to be able to unravel the mystery of this murder very soon."

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan laid a wreath at the Shaheed Police Memorial.

Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed also laid a wreath at the Shaheed Police Memorial.

On Thursday (March 24) at around 9:50 pm, Jahidul was returning home in a microbus via Shahjahanpur Amtala Raw Market.

When he reached in front of Shahjahanpur Islami Bank Hospital, the miscreants wearing helmets shot at him.

Jahidul and his driver Munna were shot.

At that time, Preeti, a student of Badrunnesa College, was going in a rickshaw by Jahidul's car.

She too was shot.

When they were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a bloody condition, the doctor on duty declared Jahidul and Preeti dead.

Munna, who was shot, is currently undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital.

Zahidul Islam Tipu's wife Farzana Islam Dolly, who was killed in the incident on Friday (March 25), filed a murder case with Shahjahanpur Police Station accusing unknown persons.
