Dhaka, May 11: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that foreign friends have not made any proposal to the government, nor have they created any pressure regarding the caretaker government.

He said, BNP has entered the field with three demands. Resignation of Government, Dissolution of Parliament and Caretaker Government. The foreign friends did not make any proposals to the government about any of these three, nor did they create any pressure.

Obaidul Quader said this in response to reporters' questions at the end of a meeting and capacity building workshop on electric vehicle transformation in Asia and the Pacific region at a hotel in the capital on Wednesday.

He said, BNP is talking about caretaker government, resignation of government and dissolution of parliament. Foreign friends did not say anything about it. But yes, they want free and fair elections in Bangladesh. The foreigners did not utter a word about the demands of the BNP.

Obaidul Quader said that BNP was not called in dialogue and election government. Why is the question of the trap of temptation? Participation in elections as a political party is a democratic right of BNP, not an opportunity. Why will Awami League favor them? will call Awami League is not trapping their coins. He said, why BNP does not trust Awami League? What did Awami League promise them? The election will be held according to the constitution of the country, the election will be held in Bangladesh as in other democratic countries of the world.

Obaidul Quader said, they (BNP) should exercise their democratic rights, coming to the elections is their own business. Awami League favor them why? Why will Awami League call them? Do not understand what they mean?

Regarding Gazipur City Corporation election, Awami League General Secretary said, Jahangir Alam became mayor from Awami League, it is not known whether his mother is directly connected with Awami League. And the issue of participation in the election is the election commission.
