Dhaka, October 31: The Government has rescheduled the time table for Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous and Semi-Autonomous Institutions. From November 15, the office will start at 9 am and end at 4 pm. The new schedule for the office of 2023 was approved in the Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office on Monday (October 31). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Khandkar Anwarul Islam gave this information to the reporters at the secretariat at noon. He said that the office schedule of all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions has been rescheduled. Due to the onset of winter, the office schedule of all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations in the country will be from 9 am to 4 pm till further instructions from November 15. Presently the office schedule is 8 AM to 3 PM.

He said that the relevant authorities will decide on the matter of the schedule of courts, banks and financial institutions and educational institutions. They will decide on Supreme Court, Bangladesh Bank. Apart from this, their (Ministry of Education) authorities will decide on the schedule of schools and colleges.

Khandkar Anwarul Islam said that the schedule for electricity was reduced by 1 hour, but it is still there. Now it's 9-4. Because it will be difficult to come to office at 8 am in winter.

Office hours were shortened by 1 hour to save electricity. When asked whether it reflects or has any output, he said, yes. It has been distributed. It's a holiday an hour ago. As a result, it is possible to give more electricity outside (to another institution or residence) during that time.
