Dhaka, Oct 21: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, Bangladesh is the country of Bangabandhu's non-communal spirit. In this country, who is Hindu, who is Muslim, who is Christian, who is Buddhist does not matter. The important thing is that we are all Bangladeshis. Our tradition is to live together in peace. We are moving forward at breakneck speed as we follow Bangabandhu's guidance. Bangladesh is moving forward under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. No one can claim this country. We all rejoice together on religious occasions.

The Home Minister visited Dhakeshwari Temple in the capital on Friday and took part in a discussion meeting organized by the Metropolitan Public Puja Committee and the Bangladesh Puja Celebration Council.

He said, "After Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to power in 2009, the number of pujamandap is increasing every year. This year, Sharidiya Durgotsav is being held in 32,408 puja pandals across the country. In terms of numbers which is more than last year. Adequate number of law enforcement personnel are deployed in the places of worship. Besides, intelligence forces are working, so that no miscreants can spread rumors or sabotage.

He said, "Those who could not accept Bangladesh, could not accept Bangabandhu are the ones who try to sabotage worship or religious events. Measures have been taken so that no miscreant can commit misdeeds."
