Dhaka, January 8: Leaders of the Bangladesh Hindu Parishad have accused Pakistan of trying to create a militant state around the world with the help of the Islamic State (IS).

"Pakistan has become a failed state when the world is talking about humanity today. So we have to stand up against Pakistan with humanitarian people and communities around the world," they said.

The leaders were speaking at a protest rally organized by the Bangladesh Hindu Parishad in front of the National Press Club on Friday (January 8). The rallies were organized in protest of a series of attacks, vandalism, arson, rape and torture of minorities by extremist groups in Pakistan.

At the end of the rally, the leaders and activists of the council left with a procession as part of the siege of the Pakistan Embassy in Bangladesh. The leaders said, "Pakistan must be identified as a militant state and a supporter of IS. At the same time, our request to various states, human rights organizations, is to sever all diplomatic relations with Pakistan."

The speakers demanded that no minority, including Hindus, should be oppressed anywhere in the world. More than 50 members of Bishwa Hindu Parishad, Bangladesh Hindu Parishad, Bangladesh Hindu Jubo Parishad and Hindu Swechchhasebak Jote were present at the rally.

Kapil Krishna Mandal, general secretary of the Bangladesh branch of the World Hindu Council, Subir Kanti Saha, convener of the Hindu Parishad, members Apu Das, Dipankar Sikder, Subir Saha and Sadhan Kumar Das addressed the gathering.
