Durga Puja People returning to Dhaka after Durga Puja
Dhaka, 9 October 2022 : People have started returning to the workplace after celebrating Durga Puja, the biggest festival of Sanatan religions and public holidays.
Talking to the passengers, it is known that the long-distance buses did not have to face traffic jams even though the passengers were under pressure to return to the capital. They are returning with relief.
On Sunday (October 9) morning, these images were seen by visiting Jatrabari, Sayedabad and Gulistan areas of the capital. However, as the day progresses, the number of vehicles on the road also increases. Passenger pressure may also increase.
These areas can be seen, the buses leaving from various regions of the southern and eastern regions of the country including Sylhet, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Barisal, Jessore have reached Dhaka on time. It is also reported that buses departing from Syedabad and Jatrabari for various regional destinations managed to reach their destination on time.
In the morning, many long-distance buses arrived at the bus counter at Jatrabari and Sayedabad Junction. The crowd there was noticeable. They arrived at their destination pretty much without a hitch.
After reaching Dhaka from Jessore by Hanif Paribahan bus, Paresh Karmakar said, office from tomorrow. So I left in the morning. Didn't have to worry about the bus. There were enough buses at the terminal. I returned to work with relief.
Akter Hossain, the driver of Hanif Paribahan from Jessore, said that the crowd of people returning home during the Puja holiday was eye-catching. But even though there is not much traffic during the return to work after the holiday, the pressure of passengers has increased since this morning.
Jatrabari and Sayedabad intersection road traffic police Md. Fakhrul Alam said, people have started coming to the city from today. The pressure of people towards the city has started to increase. Due to the good condition of the road, the passengers did not suffer much while going, similarly the passengers are not suffering while arriving. We have a team working to ensure the overall safety of passengers.
