PM calls upon Imams to be careful against creating confusion in the name of religion

Dhaka, January 17: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged teachers and parents as well as the Imams of mosques to be aware so that no one can create any confusion about religion.

Requesting the Imams, the Prime Minister said that the Imams and khatibs will highlight these issues in their speeches or sermons to eliminate the problems of the society, such as drug addiction, child marriage, violence against women, terrorism-militancy etc. May every son and daughter stay away from terrorism and terrorism. Terrorism is not an honor but a disgrace to Islam. You can play a special role in creating awareness about these issues.

Sheikh Hasina said, we want the people of the country to develop more economically, our goal is to free the poor people from poverty. And we are working with that goal.

She announced the virtual inauguration of 50 model mosques under the project titled 'Establishment of 564 mosques and Islamic cultural centers in each district and upazila'.

After the inauguration, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina participated virtually in the inauguration ceremony of two model mosques in Rajshahi and Gazipur and listened to the sentiments of the locals.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister highlighted the various activities taken by the government during the Corona period. She said, "I want real knowledge of Islam to be practiced in our country."

She said, we always try to improve the respect of our religion. We are working keeping in mind the ideals of our father of the nation. We want the people of every religion in Bangladesh to be able to practice their religion without hindrance, that is the teaching of Islam. Islam is the religion of peace, the religion of amity, and the religion of brotherhood.
