Narail Bridge PM expresses anger at wrong design in construction of Narail bridge
Dhaka, Sept 6: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed her anger over the wrong design for the construction of Kalia bridge while approving the construction project of the bridge on Narail-Kalia highway at the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting.
A meeting was held at the NEC conference room in Sherebangla Nagar of the capital on Tuesday. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting. Seventeen projects have been approved in ECNEC meeting today. After the meeting, Planning Minister MA Mannan and State Minister for Planning Dr. Shamsul Alam shared details in the press conference.
Planning Minister pointed out the instructions of the Prime Minister and said that the Prime Minister expressed her anger for the wrong design in the construction of Narail bridge. She instructed to make the design of any project accurately in future. Besides, she has instructed to take pictures of the land while acquiring the land. If the picture is not taken, someone can build a structure there in the hope of getting more money from the news of land acquisition.
The minister said, "We have congratulated and thanked the Prime Minister on behalf of Ecnec for inaugurating the elevated expressway. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has promised to complete other works on time."
