Dhaka, June 12: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has unveiled the cover of a book contaning 200 speeches of her father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, on Monday. The ceremony took place at her office. The book is titled 'Amar Bhaiera'. 

According to the Prime Minister's Press Wing, the name 'Bhaiera Amar (My Brothers)' was given by the Prime Minister himself. She also wrote the introduction to the book. Prime Minister's speech writer Nazrul Islam collected, compiled and edited the speeches. Genius Publications published the book.

The main feature of this collection of speeches of the Father of the Nation is that it includes all the speeches available so far. Out of the two hundred speeches in the book, more than one hundred speeches have been collected from the tapes/CDs available from the archives of Bangladesh Radio. The accuracy and reliability of each speech has been duly verified.

The book highlights the important parts of each speech and displays them separately. Besides, the content, year and date of the speech are mentioned in the index.

As mentioned in the press release, the speech of the Father of the Nation is an invaluable resource not only in Bangladesh but in the whole world. In the preface of the book, the Prime Minister mentioned that the new generation, especially the Awami League leaders, workers and supporters, should not only read Bangabandhu's speeches, but also understand their meaning and practice them in their own lives.

He also mentioned that the father of the nation wanted golden people to build golden Bengal. To become this golden man, it is essential to practice the ideals and lifestyle of the father of the nation.

The editor of the book, Nazrul Islam, mentioned that the entire speech will be considered as an important document for politicians, teachers, researchers, students and future generations.
