PM Hasina meets President Hamid at Sangsad Bhaban

At the end of the meeting, the President's Press Secretary Md. Joynal Abedin told reporters that during the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked the President for giving a commemorative speech on the life, work and ideals of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in a special session of the National Assembly on the occasion of Mujib Year.

They also discussed the overall situation in the country, including the coronavirus situation.

The press secretary said the prime minister briefed the president on various steps taken by the government to deal with the coronavirus situation.

The President appreciated the various steps taken by the Prime Minister to combat the Coronavirus epidemic.

He hoped that Bangladesh would continue to move forward on the path of development and progress by tackling the Corona situation.

President's wife Rashida Khanam was present during the meeting.
