Dhaka, April 6: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that Ziaur Rahman came to power after 75 years and did what the Pakistani aggressors used to do. "One of his followers, a BNP leader, wanted to address the parliament. His speech proved that they do not believe in freedom. They do not believe in the spirit of freedom. Pakistan is still in their hearts. They like the slavery of Pakistan. His speech revealed that Pakistan is in the heart of BNP MP Harun Saheb," she said.

On Wednesday, Awami League presidium member and Member of Parliament for Madaripur-2 constituency Shahjahan Khan raised a general resolution on the nation in accordance with Rule 147 of the Rules of Procedure. The Prime Minister said this while participating in the discussion on the proposal.

Sheikh Hasina said, it didn't feel like Bangladesh was independent after 1975. "This freedom struggle was started by the father of the nation from 1947. He took the country forward step by step. Today I still remember the slogan 'Joy Bangla' when Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib delivered the Six Points, when he toured all over Bangladesh with the Six Points, at that time Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni was instructed to take this slogan to the field through Chhatra League.

She said our flag, the father of the nation said, our flag will be red in the middle of the green. Chhatra League was the vanguard of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Therefore, whatever was taken on the field was taken through Chhatra League. But there was also the instruction that this is how our flag will be made. Besides, my golden Bengali, I love you, has been played in the national conference of Awami League. Renowned singer Kalim Sharafi was a friend of my father. Kalim used to tell Sharafi to do this song on any occasion. He thought that this would be our national anthem in independent Bangladesh. But we always knew these words.

The Prime Minister said that after giving six points, we family members knew. He would show us six fingers and tell us that our main goal was to show it (one finger). Some of our members have mentioned his familiar name. But the decision to form the original nucleus was made by him (Bangabandhu) to the student leader Sheikh Moni in 1971.
