PM inaugurates and lays foundation stone of 29 development projects in Khulna

Projects implemented by Public Works Department include Genocide and Torture Archive and Museum Building, Civil Surgeon Office Building and Residence, Technical Training Center in Paikgacha Upazila, Renovation and Modernization of Khulna Apprenticeship Training Office, 10-storey building of Khulna Regional Office of BSTI. Construction of 10-storey women's hostel building, Paikgacha Upazila sub-registry office building (civil, sanitary and electrical) and construction of 4-storey boys' hostel of Agricultural Training Institute at Daulatpur.

Among the 11 projects implemented by Education Engineering Department (EED) are Dumuria Technical School & College Academic Cum 4 Floor Administrative and Workshop Building, Boyra Secondary School 6 Floor Academic Building, Khulna Collegiate School 6 Floor Academic Building, Govt LBK Women Degree College 6 Floor Academic Building, Government Bangabandhu College 6th Floor Academic Building, Chalan Bazar Government Girls High School 6th Floor Academic Building, Talimul Millat Rahmatiya Fazil Madrasa 6th Floor Academic Building, Nazrul Nagar Secondary Girls' School 6th Floor Academic Building, RRF Secondary School 6th Floor Academic Building, Agar 4th Floor Academic Building of Ghata Secondary School, Academic cum Workshop Building of Paikgacha Technical School and College.

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) has implemented drain, footpath, road widening works of Khalishpur BIDC road. Bridge (315.30 m) over river Bhadra on Bashundiyadanga Bazar-Mugur Khali UP Office Road under Dumuria Upazila has been implemented by Local Government Engineering (LGED) Department. Besides, Sundarban West Forest Division has implemented Shekertek Eco-Tourism Center and Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) 6th floor newly constructed Khulna Regional Office.

Besides, the foundation stones of the projects laid are: Sanitary Landfill in Mathabhanga area under Waste Management Development Project of KCC, 5 storey academic and 4 storey administrative and workshop buildings of Dighlia Technical School and College of EED, Raja Bohyangto Roy Memorial at Kaliganj Upazila of Satkhira of BIWTA and LGED's Kuruliya River Bridge (748.90 m).
