Own Correspondent, Dhaka, June 22: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday visited flood-hit areas of Sylhet, Sunamganj and Netrokona. During this time she distributed relief materials among the flood victims.

Later, the Prime Minister visited the shrines of Hazrat Shah Jalal and Hazrat Shah Paran in Sylhet. At that time, she offered prayers to Allah Almighty for the flood-hit people.

Earlier on Tuesday (June 21) at 8 am, the Prime Minister left the old airport in Tejgaon by helicopter. She arrived at Sylhet Osmani International Airport around 10 am. From there she went to Sylhet Circuit House. There she took part in a meeting to review the flood situation and rehabilitate the flood victims.

At that time, the Prime Minister said, there is nothing to worry about floods. The government has taken all kinds of measures to deal with the floods. Assistance will be provided by listing the flood victims in Sylhet region. The flood victims will be given all the food and medicine they need.

She said the government would take steps so that the fish farmers could make up for the losses caused by the floods. "Those working in the flood also need to be careful and cautious. The Awami League-led government and the opposition are the first to come to the aid of the aggrieved people. I live in a flood prone area. I understand the plight of flood victims."
