Sheikh Hasina PM pays tribute at Bangabandhu's tomb in Tungipara
Dhaka, Dec 8: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute and prayed at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
On Thursday afternoon, she paid tribute to Bangabandhu's mausoleum along with her family members.
At the same time, she joined the prayer seeking forgiveness for the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who were murdered on August 15, 1975. After laying the wreath, the Prime Minister stood in silence for a while paying respect to the memory of the architect of independent Bangladesh.
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina went to her ancestral home in Tungipara, Gopalganj by road today afternoon via Padma Setu on a personal visit. She is scheduled to leave for Dhaka on Friday after spending the night at Tungipara's house.
