Police injured in BNP rally returns home after receiving treatment in India

Dhaka, 13 January 2024 : DMP Naik Mohd Abdur Razzaq was injured while performing his duty to protect law and order around the BNP's mass meeting on October 28 last year.

He was then taken to India for better treatment. He returned home on Thursday after treatment.

Razzaq was admitted to Delhi's Apollo Hospital on November 9 at the initiative of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun and DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman.

Currently, he is admitted to Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital in a stable condition. He will be treated there under the supervision of a specialist doctor.

He is working in the Defense Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). On October 28 last year, 55-year-old Naik Md. fell on the road in an attack in Paltan area. Abdur Razzaq.

He suffered severe head injuries. Immediately he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and after surgery on his head, he was kept in the intensive care unit.

Later, Abdur Razzaq was sent to Apollo Hospital in Delhi, India on the advice of the doctor. His medical expenses were borne by the IGP and DMP Commissioner.
