Defence Chiefs President Hamid meets three defence chiefs
Dhaka, November 22: On the occasion of Armed Forces Day, the three defence chiefs paid a courtesy call on President Md Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday evening. Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, Navy Chief Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan paid a courtesy call on President Hamid at 7:30 in the evening.
Later, President's Press Secretary Md. Zainal Abedin told the official news agency 'BSS' that during the meeting, the Chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force briefed the President about the various activities of their respective forces.
Congratulating the members of the armed forces on the occasion of the day, the head of state said that the members of the armed forces have brought honor to the country through their activities at the national and international levels. He hopes that the members of the armed forces will be able to contribute more to the development of the country in the future by increasing their professional skills. The secretaries of the President were present.
