Dhaka, March 6: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal commented that price control is a big challenge.

He said this while talking to reporters at the end of a working session on the third day of the DC Conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium on Tuesday.

The Home Minister said that the conference of District Commissioners is being held like every year. Ministers and secretaries met them at the conference. A meeting of the DCs was held today with the Ministry of Home Affairs. The DC did not say anything new about law and order in the meeting. They raised some small points in the meeting.

He said, "The DCs wanted to know whether a virtual court can be arranged like during the Corona period or not. They say there is some risk in bringing militants to court in particular. That's why the DCs talked about the virtual court. We will check it out."

The Home Minister also said that the DCs have been instructed in the meeting to hold the meeting of the Law and Order Core Committee at the district level every month. So that everyone has an understanding with everyone. So that any problem can be solved quickly. The meeting directed the DCs to create social awareness against drugs like Yaba and LSD. We spoke against smoking. Now it is seen that no one smokes in public. If someone smokes, they do it secretly.

Regarding price control, he said, "Price control has become a big challenge for us. DCs have been requested to work to control commodity prices. Especially before fasting, they should help to control the price of goods."

He also said that the DCs have been requested to take measures so that sand is not lifted everywhere in the river.

"Security forces will stand by the DCs whenever they need them - this assurance has been given," said the minister.
