Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 18: All the primary level educational institutes of the country are opening from March 1. From that day onwards, physical classes will start in the primary schools.

Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, said this. He said all the primary schools will be reopening from March 1. The decision was taken in consultation with the National Technical Advisory Committee on Coronavirus.

The government had imposed 11-point restrictions since January 13 to prevent the spread of Covid-19. On January 21, the Cabinet Division issued five additional directives including closure of educational institutions. It directed to close the educational institutes till February 6. Later, the government decided to extend the closure of the educational institutes for two more weeks.

As the coronavirus situation has improved slightly, educational institutions are going to open for secondary and university students from February 22. The decision was taken by the Ministry of Education on the advice of the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19.
