Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 8: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasized on strengthening digital security, saying that with the advent of new technological innovations, excellence and its evolution, the security problem will also increase.

She said, "We need to focus on security now. In fact, as technology creates opportunities for us, it can also cause problems. In that sense, it is possible we had to rethink our security."

The Prime Minister expressed this view while addressing the third meeting of the 'Digital Bangladesh Task Force' at Ganobhaban on Thursday (Apr 7). Noting that the advancement of technology will continue to increase day by day, she said, "New ideas will come every day."

Instructing to increase research, the Prime Minister said, "The excellence of technology will continue to increase, so we need to give more importance to research. We need research all the time. Therefore, research work must be continued so that we too can keep pace with the world and Bangladesh can set an example for all to follow. That's what I want."

"Why should we be dependent on others? The people of our country have talent. We can go a long way if we allow it to develop," she said.

Giving instructions to make the youth society efficient, the head of government said, "We have to create a youth society. Because the fourth industrial revolution we are talking about is not just thinking. In order to take Bangladesh forward, we have to make our young society more suitable, give proper education, give proper training or build them in that way or build their mindset in that way, that is what we have to do."

The Prime Minister said, "The biggest thing is that our young community is more numerous. That is why if we can build them properly, not only this generation, but also how we can build the next generation, then Bangladesh can go from digital to smart. At the same time, I believe that we will be able to move forward in all aspects of our education, industry, trade and economy."

The Prime Minister said Bangladesh is an interesting place now but we have to keep it in mind. Needless to say, the old saying goes - brain drain. We have no shortage of people. Our children will receive education and come. On the contrary, the situation in Bangladesh is better in many ways from the outside. We are in a much better position now.
