Prime Minister Hasina, Awami League pay tribute at Sheikh Kamal's grave

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her party Awami League have paid their respects at the Banani Graveyard on the occasion of the 72nd birth anniversary of Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Mujibur Rahman. Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader paid tribute on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with flowers at Kamal's grave on Thursday (August 5). Later, he along with the central leaders paid homage with flowers on behalf of the party.

After paying his respects, Obaidul Quader told a press briefing that the most tragic chapter in the history of bloody betrayal in Bangladesh was the August tragedy of 1975. Sheikh Kamal will be the epitome of youthful pride and a creative unique talent.

Quader said the creation of Sheikh Kamal's multifaceted creative talent in the history of Bangladesh will be remembered forever as a blazing flame of inspiration in the hearts of millions of young people today.

The Awami League general secretary further said that the stigma of Bangabandhu's assassination was a stigma on the forehead of the nation. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is embarking on the path of light by erasing the stigma and completing the trial of Bangabandhu's assassination. By becoming the explorer of that path of light, we will build the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu's dream; That is the promise today.
