Dhaka, May 22: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Dhaka on a three-day official visit to attend the Qatar Economic Forum (QEF) from May 23-25. A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (May 22) at 3:13 pm. The flight is scheduled to land at Hamad International Airport at 6pm local time.

Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim confirmed this information.

The Prime Minister was received at the airport by Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Parliament Deputy Leader Begum Matia Chowdhury, Chief Whip Noor-i-Alam Chowdhury, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Md Mahbub Ali, Cabinet Secretary, Army, Air and Acting The Chief of the Navy, the Inspector General of Police and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps bid farewell.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will attend a forum titled 'Third Qatar Economic Forum: New Global Growth Story' at the invitation of Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. QF is the Middle East's leading voice, dedicated to global business and investment. The main objective of this forum is to find solutions through increasing mutual cooperation among the international community to deal with the multi-faceted challenges and crises going on globally and the resulting adverse economic effects.

Sheikh Hasina will attend the inaugural session of the third QF on May 23. In Doha, he will address students at Qatar University and hold separate meetings with Qatar's Minister of State for Energy, Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment, Khalid al-Falih.

The Prime Minister will join the QEF on May 24. The Emir of Qatar will meet Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Sani (Amiri Diwan) and visit Awsaz Academy (a specialized school).

The Prime Minister is expected to return home on the morning of May 25.
