Prime Minister Hasina to address Smart Bangladesh business conference on July 15

Dhaka, July 14: Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the top organization of businessmen of the country, is going to organize a business conference on the contribution of the private sector in making Smart Bangladesh and what to do in the current economic context. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the conference.

The conference will be held tomorrow Saturday afternoon at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Sherbangla Nagar, Dhaka. FBCCI president Md. Jasim Uddin gave details on this in a press conference at FBCCI building in Motijheel on Friday.

He said that a few days ago, a business summit was held with investors from all over the world. Plenary sessions discuss various business issues and opportunities. We published a book based on that discussion. The book will be handed over to all traders at the event. Businessmen belonging to Chambers and Associations of all Bangladesh will be invited to the conference. Besides, CEOs of big companies and famous businessmen will also be there.

He said that the importance of the private sector will be highlighted in the conference to take the country's economy forward, and the problems of businessmen will also be highlighted before the Prime Minister.

Before the last two national elections, the businessmen expressed their support for the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led government in the businessmen's conference. The FBCCI president did not say anything clear about whether any such decision will come from this conference. He said, there will be businessmen from all levels of the country. Then the situation will be seen.

Meanwhile, uninterrupted supply of electricity and gas is required to keep business development going. Stating that the businessmen will talk to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina about expectations and possibilities in the conference tomorrow, he said that Bangladesh is moving towards a trillion dollar economy. The problems and possibilities of meeting this goal will be discussed with the Prime Minister at the Smart Bangladesh Business Conference. The conference will be attended by foreign businessmen, major corporate businessmen and exporters of the country.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman will be special guests in tomorrow's conference.

Former FBCCI President AK Azad Chowdhury, Senior Vice President Mustafa Azad Chowdhury, Vice President MA Momen were present in the press conference.
